About Me

Hi there! My name is Haneen Eltyeb, and I am a senior at Iowa City West High School. This is my second year making videos for West Side Story, and my first year as Video Co-Editor. My journalism career initially sparked from an interest in photography and writing. As I began covering more events, I became passionate about seeing stories unfold live. I experimented with videography the summer going into my junior year and found myself loving every bit of the filming and editing process. I am a huge film nerd and always observe different videography techniques in my favorite movies for inspiration. I look forward to improving my skills and expanding my journalistic reach over the course of the year.
